Our Process

Design it once. Build it right. Love it forever.

You’ve set your priorities, defined your budget, and compared your options. Now you’re ready to choose a contractor. That means you’re one step closer to turning your home project into reality!

When you choose Reese Design + Build, you’re choosing a team that makes the process clear, organized, and stress-free. From concept to completion, our team will guide you every step of the way, keeping communication open and expectations aligned.

Our goal is simple: eliminate confusion around scope, timeline, and pricing, so you can feel confident, informed, and supported throughout your project.

01
Initial Discussion (Usually a Phone Consultation)

We start with a conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and vision for the project. This initial discussion helps ensure expectations are aligned from the beginning.

02
Preliminary Pricing (and Rough Design)

Based on our initial conversation, we’ll provide a preliminary price range and, when helpful, rough design concepts. This step gives you early clarity on budget and feasibility before moving forward. Pricing at this stage is not final but helps guide next steps.

03
Onsite Meeting (and Predesign Meeting)

We’ll meet on-site or in our office to review the space, discuss inspiration and budget in more detail, and gather additional information. At the end of this meeting, we’ll determine the best path forward, including whether design or architectural support is needed.

04
Proposal (Discussion & Approval)

We’ll prepare a proposal outlining the scope of work and estimated costs. Once approved, we’ll send contracts for signature, collect a 25% down payment, and place your project on our schedule.

Because not all selections are finalized at this stage, pricing may be refined as decisions are made. We’ll communicate updates clearly and transparently throughout the process.

05
Design & Selections

You’ll select finishes and materials that bring your project to life, with guidance from our team and trusted material partners. Design services and 3D renderings are available when needed and may involve an additional fee. Existing plans can often be used or modified.

06
Pre-Construction Planning (Permits)

We handle the required city and county permits and may request additional information if needed. Once permits are approved, we’ll confirm your construction start date.

07
Design & Scope Review (Proactive Investigation Meeting)

Before construction begins, we’ll review final designs, selections, and scope together. This is the last opportunity to make major changes, helping avoid delays or cost impacts once construction is underway.

08
Construction

Construction begins with a clear schedule and ongoing communication from your project manager. Depending on the project, certain phases may require you to be out of the home for safety reasons.

We work with trusted subcontractors and stay actively involved to ensure quality work and a smooth experience throughout the build.

09
Completion

We’ll complete a final walkthrough, address remaining punch-list items, and ensure everything meets expectations. If any items are delayed due to materials, we’ll resolve them as soon as possible. Then it’s time to enjoy your finished space.

It starts with one call and ends with a home you love.

From concept to completion, we’re here to make your experience as exceptional as your finished home. Ready to get started? Book a discovery call or schedule a consultation today.
